COWBOY TESTIMONIES

DANNY WARD

My name is Danny Ward. I was raised going to church. I accepted Jesus as My Lord and Savior when I was 12 years old. I went to church all the time! Three or four times a week! I even went on mission trips.

The cowboy life always intrigued me. I grew up in a city. I hardly ever rode horses but always dreamed of being a cowboy and having my own ranch. In my senior year of high school I joined the marine corps. After high school I pretty much stopped going to church. I still trusted Jesus as my Savior and went to church every once in a while. I was doing my own thing.

While I was overseas I met some guys that were cowboys. We had a bucking machine that we rode on the weekends. I bought a bareback riggin' from a buddy and rode that buckin' machine all the time. One of my good friends had a bronc saddle and we used to put it on that machine too.

When I made it back to the states I practiced and went to military and amateur rodeos. I received special orders from the Commanding General to "rodeo" for the Marine Corps! I even qualified for the Military World Finals! When I got out of the Marines I received a rodeo scholarship to a community college in Arizona. In 1997 I joined the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. I started going to PRCA rodeos and made the Turquoise Circuit Finals in 1998 in Saddle Bronc riding.

All this time I was partying, drinking, chasing girls and living the cowboy life . I wasn’t living for Jesus. I wasn’t even serving Him. I was doing my own thing. Sure, I put a Christian sticker on my riding vest and claimed to be a Christian. I even started doing drugs. (How could a young man who grew up going to church, had accepted Jesus, and claimed to be a Christian, do all this?) One night I was high on drugs and I thought the devil had come for me! It was the first time in my life that I got on my knees before God... I realized my sin and I repented.

No matter where you are or what you’ve done... "FORGIVENESS IS AVAILABLE!  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9  I am now living for Jesus! All I desire is to serve Him and tell as many people that I can about Him!

The Bible is God’s love story... God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to die for you!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18

Think about that... as much as God loves us, He won't force us to receive the Gift He gave. The choice to receive Jesus is left totally up to us.

Look at the newspapers or watch the news. Align it with the prophecies in the Bible. Everything adds up. The Bible says that there is soon coming a day when "Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!" The key word is EVERY.

Everyone lives forever. You will either spend eternity with God or you will spend eternity separated from God.

It won't be long until He comes to redeem those that have chosen Him. Are YOU ready?
