I want to start out by thanking God for the forgiveness of my many sins . I know that our Lord is a merciful and forgiving Father because He has blessed me far more than I have ever deserved. I grew up going to parochial schools knowing what God wanted for me, but instead I ended up taking the wide road, which at first seemed to be fun and then all of a sudden consumes you before you realize it.
I looked for answers in all the wrong places... including one failed marriage, alcohol, drugs, and way too many fights. In 1994 after having won my fifth world title and wondering why I still had no peace, I sat in the Gold Coast Hotel with my wife Carla and cried most of the night, because I still felt that I had things to prove to everybody. Instead, all I really needed to do was give the Glory to GOD and enjoy what He had helped me accomplish.
The one thing that I do know is that since I have turned things over to God, I have much more peace in my life along with being a much happier person. I am not saying that being a Christian is the easiest thing in the world to do, because we also don't realize how much havoc the devil can create until we start walking our walk like we are supposed to with the LORD.
Just trust in God and don't give up... He will provide your needs.
Jeremiah 33.3 says "Call unto me and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things that thou didn't know."
Trust in the Lord and please don't wait... just go to Him and He will be there!
